If all goes well, the fifth book in the Code of War series, 'Spirit Warrior' will be up for pre-order early August. I won't pinpoint a release date, but hopefully early autumn. A bit shorter than the last book, it follows Danny Callbeck as he attempts to find his dangerous love, Agrippina, who's escaped from Peacemaker custody and joined a rogue group of Olympus castaways. As usual, it will be action by the truckload as the Code of War rages on! #FightOlympus
I've been working on the next book in the Code of War series, hopefully to arrive sometime in the next few months. Following the events of The Vagabonds, it will follow Danny Callbeck as he tries to adapt to the world after his escape from Olympus. Expect the samle high-octane action and set pieces that the Code of War is known for. Stay tuned for more...
The fourth book in the Code of War series is available to download from Amazon right now! Filled to the brim with thrilling action, it is the conclusion of the first arc in the COW series. Prepare for an action epic unlike any you've ever read!

Good news from the world of the Code of War. Pre-orders for the fourth book, titled 'The Vagabonds' will be going live hopefully by the end of next week. Keep an eye out on my Facebook and Twitter feed @JamesPayette for immediate updates.
Ladies and gents, we have a cover! The next book in the Code of War series has a new cover, courtesy of the amazing Orina Kafe, who went above and beyond with this incredible image. The story will follow Joe Braddock's continuing quest to find is war brother Danny Callbeck and end the enigmatic Code of War once and for all.
Greetings all! It's been a while coming, but the next book of the Code of War series will be releasing sometime late summer-early autumn. Titled The Vagabonds it will cap the first half of the Code of War series. In the meantime, check out Stream of Madness, the third of the series, available on Amazon now!
So after nearly a year of development, the next addition to the Code of War series is nearly here! On August 28th, 2015, Stream of Madness, a stand-alone title taking place after The Peacemakers will release on Amazon, Smashwords, ITunes and Kobo.
Joe Braddock, still reeling from the lose of his war-brother, Danny Callbeck, accepts a dangerous assignment into war-torn Syria to extract an Olympus defector. But the straight-forward mission soon devolves into a desperate descent into a hellish nightmare as Joe must battle through ISIL militants, war-mongering mercenaries and a new Olympus super soldier named Brutus.
Stream of Madness acts as a bridge between The Peacemakers and the forthcoming third book in the main series, The Vagabonds. It is high impact, extremely violent descent into the madness of war that no true lover of military fiction should miss!
The first draft of my new book Stream of Madness is finally complete. I hope to have the book published by August at the latest. The story is a bit of departure for the series so far. A stand-alone story set in the violent, war-torn deserts of Syria, it tells the story of Joe Braddock, reeling from a personal tragedy, as he tries to find a defector from Olympus. Darker and more brutal than either of the other books, it was a challenge to write, but I am happy it is on its way to finally being completed. More to come soon!
The next book in my Code of War series will be available soon! Stream of Madness is the first entry in my 'Stand-alone' spin-off series. I have envisioned the story as a stand-alone yarn. Think of it in terms of the Marvel cinematic universe: The Avengers movies are the main series (Olympus Rises, the Peacemakers) and the stand-alone novels are the stories following one central character (i.e. Captain America, Iron Man, what have you).
This book will follow Joe Braddock on a journey through war-torn Syria in an attempt to extract a high-value Olympus defector. It will only be around 60-70000 words - the average length of a Mack Bolan novel. It can be enjoyed on its own or in concert with the third book in the series, due out sometime early next year, tentatively titled "The Vagabonds". I will hopefully have Stream of Madness available by the end of December, or January at the latest.
Anyway, check out the art and let me know what you think!
The second book in the Code of War series is available now! I am so excited to release what I consider to be the true adventure I always wanted to write. As proud as I am of Olympus Rises, 'The Peacemakers' is a true labor of love for me. Styled like a massive Hollywood blockbuster, The Peacemakers takes the characters to new heights, thrusting them into conditions that test their will and resolve.
The war of Olympus has only just begun...
