In a few days, Olympus Rises will reach 10,000 downloads. Needless to say, I am absolutely floored by the interest it has garnered. As I've said, I wrote the book because I had never read a book like it - something that distilled the best of military action fiction and speculative future warfare - and wanted to bring my vision to life. I am a fanatic of military action especially special ops. I don't read Vietnam books because I hated the politicians who didn't allow us to fight the war the way we should have to win. I have read many books on Iraq, etc and think the Rules of Engagement should be do what it takes to defeat the enemy and get the job done. Do it hard and quickly so we don't loose more of our people than we have to. I found your book Olympus Rises and it wasn't really my type but I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed it. I don't have to have every gun described to the t but I loved the action and success even as the underdog. I have 24 1/2 years in Law Enforcement as an Officer and Investigator. I would have gone to the military but when I would have joined I would have had to serve in a noncombatant roll. Not my cup of tea. OR is kind of futuristic to me which made it desirable and I can't wait to read the sequel. I find critics are just people who aren't capable of writing books or doing whatever they criticize others about.

Thanks so much for checking the book out, Deb! I am hard at work on the sequel and (I think) it's shaping up to being a true epic, a book I am even more excited to release than the first one. Thank you for sharing your story as well. I basically wrote the story because of my lifelong love of GI Joe and Robert Heinlein novels. My highest aim with my writing is to entertain, so if you enjoyed the book, I've done my job and nothing could thrill me more!
